An old man, one of about 90 or so, looked at the car sitting at the intersection. That girl was talking to one of her best friends. (Based on her mouth movements!) That old man was led to believe that she was waiting to pull a right on red. I could see as I approached from the opposite direction, that the other driver did not have a directional on, nor was she making any attempt whatsoever to mover her vehicle. That elderly man was so confused that he looked back to the road ahead, only to see that his light was actually red, and that he was about to ram my back end. As soon as I brought my new(er) vehicle out for some practice (with the window buttons etc., I was struck at a red by a fellow talking to his pregnant wife. He saw me roll forward and assumed that the light had changed. The third car back was a Cop Car. When I got out to look at my bumper, the officer exited his vehicle and realized that it was me from the week or so before. He could not deal with it! He ordered me and that other fellow to park in the food store parking lot. He then got in his car and drove away as fast as possible! I had blocked the small roadway with my totaled car in that previous encounter. He would not allow for such an obstruction to linger on once more, within his jurisdiction again. We both complied. I had let him know that my car insurance had just gone up by $50.00 that very morning. (My insurance company now feels that I must live in an accident-prone area.) Dude’s Mother-In-Law pulls up with his pregnant woman driving. After this man claimed that he needed to ask his wife (Yeah, I already knew who he was talking to just minutes before!) if he can just give me $200.00 and let it go. She proclaimed very loudly that if I was the man yelling and angry, that he should just get in his car, and speed away. Dude said “no, that it was the officer yelling and was so very upset, this man is being very nice, and polite” he went on. So life goes on in the big city!
