Eric Clapton the English Rocker from the ’60, & ’70s, was influenced by Mr. Buddy Guy, the “Old-School” bluesman from the older days. You may have to come to terms with my very own personal interest in music. In addition to the English bands “Jethro Tull, and “Uriah Heep” (with Easy Livin’, an almost religously indoctrinated number), there was Yes, and Sabbath. With Dio having taken over, my two closely related songs are “Time Machine’, and Heavan & Hell, while Ozzie has as well, “Crazy Train”. I hear the lyrics as “& I’m going up the hill on a crazy train, (oh yes) cuz’ I’m going off the rails on a “Crazy Train”. With Tull’s “Locomotive Breath”, the theme becomes complete. That song goes “& Ole’ Charlie’s pulled the handle, and that train it won’t stop going,…………………., oh God he’s pulled the handle, yet that train it won’t stop rolling, no way to slow down. He sees his children jumping off, at their (the(?)) stations one by one. But my God he stole that handle, and that train……………………”. After High School my band friends and I listened to what was entitled “Progressive” music. The good band from England would be Marillion. One song involves “extra” sons on the side! That would be “Garden Party”. With Frank, the good Catholic Boy from N.Y., a lot of his stuff has wild and crazy “jazz” type horns. (Hot-Plate Heaven, at The Green Hotel. about the 1983 recession, along with “Can’t Afford No Shoes”. That would be the year when the boy’s Mother and I became separated!)and, “San Ber’Dino”, about a couple from the SouthWest. Some stuff has marimbas, and xylophones, as well(?). Alas, I no longer wish to hear anything, really, truly any way. I am in the process of cleaning and sanitizing my complete selection of those “Small Silver” Records! I am breaking things into groups, based on my interpretation of the nephews taste. My songs from MegaDeath include “Insomnia-(Driftily twisting, my mind won’t let me sleep, my tether is burning, as I pray my soul to keep”), & (Orange) “Crush, Crush ’em”, (an apparent tribute to Monster-Truck shows.) I will do my best to offer something worthy today, of my own.
In a grand state of indecision, I normally lack such a fine precision, to take the place of my shattered mind, sweet milk and dripping honey lined, my virtues true, and so divine, yet what leaks out is a ballad’s grind, when I not alone am way out of line, if trains, and handles can’t quite remain, within the hollow grasp of my desperate strain, all will not be lost that’s mine, as long as we are intertwined.
