I am alone. Animals and bugs seem to like me. Although squirrels can’t smile, they somehow do hesitate for a moment, if not to be with me, then more so to experience for a bit, my excellence and grandeur of greatness, and most assuredly the preponderance of virtue, and eloquence of mere human delight. I saw a metallic red dragonfly, and then a reddish grasshopper. Both came into view within seconds of each other. Bugs cannot smile either, yet somehow offer a common sense of brotherhood, and friendly (momentary) togetherness. It will be sunny and in the 50s. Have I mentioned the spiders? back in ’62 one was on my face! Since I’ve moved back here almost all come to me with expectations of a drunken glory. (Yes, it’s for real!, Spiders cannot hold their breath, so begin to drink so ever readily. It may be that the remaining vapors cause them to overdose.) The two prominent figures that came from the corners of darkness, seemed to have traveled all of the way from Florida. When the light shone just right, an orange-ish tan hue came to light. One sat and watched T.V. for about 20 minutes, or so. After that older brother was dismissed from my precense, the other soon after, sat with it’s back to the set. Both were taken miles apart from each other. (Have you ever been roommates with your brother?) Today however will sing of an elegant prominence of beauty!
From The Book; White caps pop up like Alps on a billboard, gum snaps forth like pancake batter poured, mountain climb beyond our spectral reach, reaching higher welcomes, downward so to teach, our ready minds now open, awakened to the door, bathed in tranquil senses, a richness so much more, arisen to our virtues, we bask upon the shore
