I Always Do My Best

Well here I am again. I had promised myself and so many of you that this would be a positive only blog. Then life happened. My other phrase which I believe has been used is “life sucks, but so do you!” So, I not only failed to make the proper turn on my way to the Dr., when I banged a u-ee, a fellow in a much smaller sports car raced up from behind. When I realized that I wasn’t going fast enough I hit the gas right off. I then saw that he was about to go around, and began to slow. This other fellow from behind, driving the tiny little 2-seater that was speeding toward a red light, apparently knew how to drive around noncooperative vehicles. I was just a step behind in my decision making, so that it seemed as though I was playing games with him, when in reality I realized that he could move in, right around to the front of me. That was until he noticed that the car in that lane was going even slower than I was. He pulled the wheel back, then back to the right, and sped on past me, getting into the lead. We both sat at the next light, and had to stop at a sign just before my Dr.’s office. This entire time dude is showing me which finger he had planned to use to bath himself later that night, while cursing, and bitching about what just happened. I will say it plainly. When I realized that he had punched it coming up the hill, I immediately sped up, but realized all of the other cars in my lane were slowing at the crest of the hill. When I could see that this guy wanted to pass, I slowed down to give him room to move in front of me. The whole time he was a step ahead of me with his reactions, expecting me to have already calculated each and every move that he was about to make, or at least wanted to. Because I have vowed to be as positive and friendly that I could ever be, I just looked at this guy like “c’mon, what do you really want”? Because he had the top down, and the light was a bit long, I could have gotten out of my vehicle and let him know who his “boss” was. I mean because I would have more than fired this young punk of about 45 years old or so. Heaven help me! God please be with me in my hour of need.

In my waking hours I misconstrue, the darkest night, a morning blue, when a deep and sinking slow-lit sigh, hits the walls from an unheard cry, I feel the warmth that we always knew, with my last day’s breath our love is true.
